The tenth-generation of the E-Class sedan delivers stylish highlights with its distinct, emotional design and high-grade interior. The new E-Class also marks the world premiere of numerous technical innovations, enabling enhanced comfort, a new level of safe driving, a new dimension in driver assistance and a new infotainment and control system. A new, optionally available AIR BODY CONTROL air suspension ensures outstanding ride comfort and driving dynamics. The sum total of these innovations makes the E-Class the world’s most intelligent sedan.
For the 2019 model year, Mercedes-Benz introduced two new model designations to the E-Class lineup with E 450 and E 450 4MATIC® variants. The new E 450 models received an upgraded 3.0-liter V6 biturbo engine that generates an additional 33 hp (now 362 hp vs. previous 329 hp) and 15 lb-ft of torque (now 369 lb-ft vs. previous 354 lb-ft) than its predecessor.
The 2021 E-Class refresh benefits from new and more efficient engines with 48-volt technology, the intuitive Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system and the latest available safety systems. The model range introduced a more dynamic and sportier exterior, redesigned headlamps and taillamps, radiator grille and bumper, and even more comfort and technology. Interior highlights included a progressive and modern 12.3-inch dual widescreen display and completely newly developed steering wheel with capacitive sensor technology and hands-off detection that eases the operation of semi-autonomous driving when equipped with the available driver assistance systems. The redesign also boasts new upholstery, trim, paint and wheel options. The powertrain in the E 450 and E 450 4MATIC® models has also been electrified with a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine with an integrated starter generator (ISG), EQ Boost, and a 48-volt onboard electrical system, resulting in improved performance and efficiency. Capable of 362 hp and 369 lb-ft, the electrical boost of up to 21 hp and as much as 184 lb-ft of torque reinforces the sporty character of the E 450 models, ensuring the driving enjoyment is even more pronounced.

12.3″ Central Display w/ Touchscreen
A widescreen color display with multitouch interface makes it easy to access a world of features, including audio, MB Navigation, phone and vehicle settings. In addition to the three input methods of the standard screen (touchscreen, console touchpad, and Touch Control steering wheel), it also responds to the advanced voice control you activate by saying "Hey, Mercedes." Predictive features can learn and anticipate your commands, while you can save groups of settings as themes and moods.
Heated front seats now standard
Electrically heated front seats quickly take the chill out of even the coldest day. Three levels of warming automatically step down after several minutes to the lowest setting.
MBUX Infotainment System with Navigation and “Hey Mercedes” functionality
MBUX can listen and learn, to turn your words into action. Just say "Hey, Mercedes," then "I'm cold" or "I need a coffee," and MBUX can warm the cabin or set the standard MB Navigation. You can also quietly control features via new, more advanced steering-wheel touch controls.

The intuitive, touch-sensitive controls of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) put a world of features at your fingertips. The digital cockpit's dual 12.3-inch displays include a central touchscreen.

Innovative Touch Controls elevate the multifunction steering wheel to an unparalleled level of user-friendliness. Finger-sensitive buttons access features like audio, Bluetooth® and cruise control. Four smartphone-like pads offer direct control of countless cockpit features. The upper touchpads operate the menu screen in the gauge cluster or the central multimedia display. Larger, lower touchpads let you vary your cruising speed or adjust the audio volume, all with your hands on the wheel.
12.3″ Digital Instrument Cluster now standard
A 12.3-inch high-resolution color screen in front of the driver offers customizable instrumentation. Four selectable designs, Modern Classic, Sport, Progressive and Understated, combine analog-style gauges with digital and graphical readouts. They all also incorporate a multifunction screen with illustrated and animated menus, plus readouts for vehicle information, feature settings and driver-assistance systems. It's easy to scroll through the menus via the left steering-wheel Touch Control Button.
